About Peninsula Superior Painters

Mornington Peninsula painter Matthew Watts

Hello, my name is Matthew Watts and welcome to Peninsula Superior Painters.  Along with my wife Katy who manages the office and my fantastic team of master tradesmen we have been painting in the Mornington Peninsula area for over 30 years now.

I was born in Sorrento and used to crew the old wooden passenger ferries that ran from Sorrento to Queenscliff in my summer holidays. “I love the water, the Peninsula is an amazing place to bring up our family”.

I started my painting apprenticeship at 17 years of age with John Goss, a very well known and respected tradesman. After successfully completing my apprenticeship, including an Honours Award for Interior Decoration, I sub-contracted for some local painters and then started my own business under my name – Matthew Watts Painting Services.  I really wanted to build a business based on exceptional quality painting.

In 1994 we purchased Original Paint Finishes from Geoff Coker, another well known local painter. Under this name we won The Dulux Accredited Victorian Painter of the year in 2006.

In 2007 we decided to try franchising and helped establish “Jim’s Professional Painting”, now the biggest painting franchise in Australia.

In 2013 we left the Jim’s Group and re-branded as Peninsula Superior Painting.

We have completed painting projects all over the Mornington Peninsula. This includes residential and commercial paint jobs.

“We have a new drive to provide exceptional painting to our large group of loyal and regular customers.  We know the needs of the houses down here and all the experience I have means I can help people get the best out of their house.”
